The splendid OST by Ennio Morricone for “THE RED TENT”, film directed in 1969 by the Russian director Mikheil Kalatozov and produced by Franco Cristaldi, comes back on Legend label CD format, but in a brand new expanded De-Luxe edition. The score is digitally remastered, and it includes an extra 13 minutes in stereo -never released before- coming from the only original music survived until today. The very beautiful and recurrent “Love theme” and the epic “Main theme” for large orchestra and choir conducted by Bruno Nicolai, together with the alternating dramatic music of atonal kind, are the perfect background to the plot, which is again evoked with flashbacks that bring to life the excitement of the explorative expedition to the North Pole led by Commander Umberto Nobile on board of the Airship
