Directed by French cult director Jean Rollin, Les Démoniaques is a stylish hommage to the old serials, spiced up with strong violence, a steamy blend of eroticism and a completely original touch of fantastic cinema. The ever growing army of Rollin-fans agrees that this is one of the director's greatest achievements. Two beautiful young women are washed ashore at night on a remote island and encounter a group of savage beachcombers, who rape and kill them. But the girls return from beyond the realms of death to claim their revenge.
